CAUGHT

Connor and I were rockin' out while he helped me clean the kitchen other day and he was really getting into it! But of course as soon as I grabbed the camera he gets all shy.

It's still pretty cute, especially the kiss he blows me at the end!

Summer Lovin'

We are in full summer mode in our casa!! This morning Connor said to Macie:

"Let's go swimming Darlin'! "

.....and the suits were on. They have been "swimming" in the toy room ALL morning. I think for lunch I'm gonna make sack lunches and have a picnic on the "beach", maybe even pull out Connors moon sand later too so they can built sand castles.

I heart summer!!!!

Lessons

I recently bought some beginner piano books so I could take advantage of the piano in our home. My kids beg me to teach them all the time and I don't play at all, Scott just a little.

I worried that teaching them might be super hard and not so much fun for them but to my surprise, we ALL love it.

Ellie wiz's through it and Connor really likes to practice. Although he does always ask to play the "angry notes" which apparently are the Low notes!

All in all, the loud plinking of random notes that once was is slowly but surly turning into little songs and it is lovely!!

Vacation advice...

So our plans for spring break are changing and now we are trying to think of a fun place to go with our kids. Scott says anywhere but I am thinking warm.

Does anyone have any ideas or places they love that you have taken your family for a vacation. Ones that don't require airplanes , thousands of dollars and are out here in the West, closer to us?

Ellie LOVES to make lists and charts and will check them off as she gets things done. A week or so ago she went to a party of one of her best friends who had planned out the whole party by herself....Ellie was blown away. I heard about this party FOR DAYS, and I finally gave in and let her have her own little get together. First on the list... glitter nails. We had our own personal nail professional come over to get the job done. :)



Next on the list eat pizza, then build forts.
Then make snowflakes, and (my favorite) she added Free Time.
Connor was the only boy, and the girls loved that. Him...not so much.

I was talking to a friend that I haven't seen in years yesterday and she found my blog and was asking about my little girl...."the one that is always naked". Yep, that would be Macie. This girl refuses to keep clothes on. It is a struggle everyday and gets even more tricky to deal with when she wants to be nude in church or a friends house. Anyway, I made her a "pretty princess" dress in hopes that she would want to keep it ON. And so far.... I have succeeded!!
