Christmas program

Ellie had her first school program. In it she sang "This little light of mine" and another song they learned about planting seeds. Every class also had to do a dance. Ellie had to partner up with a BOY!! Ahhhhh! It was so stinkin' cute, and she was so embarrassed she couldn't stop smiling! Not any real good pictures, there were soooo many kids and parents there.

*If by chance you are wondering, "If it was a Christmas Program, why no Christmas songs?"

That is an excellent question, I am baffled! At least she wasn't in the next class that sang..wait for it....The Sponge Bob Square Pants theme song! ??%*#??? YES, you read that right!!

I spy

Down one of the halls at Ellie's school there is a wall full of pictures of all the 6th grade graduating classes. Ellie is very proud to show anyone that passes, that in about 10 or so of the pictures is her Grandpa Bud, who was the principal, and in about 3 or 4 of them her Grandpa Evan was a teacher there. But I had to take a picture of this one because they are right next to each other.
I think that is so cool!!

Frogs, Snails and Puppy dog Tails...

So, Connor goes to sleep every night listening to a CD. As I was putting him to bed last night his cd player wasn't working and I could NOT figure out what was wrong with it....

After pushing many buttons....

checking the volume.......

saying a few cuss words........

I finally think to open it up, and this is what I find.......

Baby love..

We had my friends kids over for a few hours this week. Connor gets along better with her little girl than anyone else. They had so much fun! And Macie has never been so into babies. Honestly she is never really around them, so when I asked her if she wanted to hold him she was literally squealing with joy!! Look how happy her sweet little face is.

Bubbleliscious!!

Scott and I came home from a date this week and found the kids in "bubbletown"!!

Melt your heart mommy moment!

This is the conversation I had with Ellie this morning as I was buttering her toast:

Ellie: "Mom.....do you ever get tired of doing things all by yourself?"

Me: "???? What are you talking about Ellie?"

Ellie: " Well like getting up and making me breakfast and stuff?"

Me: (Totally smiling, and giggling on the inside) "Ellie, I like to do things

for you because I love you."

Ellie: "I can wake myself up and make breakfast and get dressed so you

don't have too if you want me too mom...because I love you too!"

What a way to start your day!!!

The No-Snowflake Festival!

Last night was the 25th anniversary for the Klamath Falls Snowflake Festival. Cold as ever, but NO snow! This year was awesome because Scott and I got to sit with Macie and watch our other 2 kids be IN the parade. It was so fun. My mom is a volunteer diver for the Klamath Falls Sheriff's department....(yea, I know. hehe)... and they had a "boat float" this year. So my mom ended up with Ellie, Connor and Brynlie on a boat in 20 degree weather with no treats and no bathroom in sight. Brave woman.
*Sidenote, mystery scarf women= LeeLou

It all went really well though and in Ellie's words.."That was the best Parade EVER!"

Family Christmas Book

Last year my friends put together this amazing book for a family that gives you something to do together every day in December. Each day has a scripture, a Christmas related story, a Christmas song, a craft and a treat. Each day has a theme and the story, craft and treat are all related. It is amazing. They put it all together in a 3 ringed binder, and included a list of Christmas movies for kids and adults and pre-made Christmas CD's. This is the first year we have used it and it is definitely going to be our new tradition. Here is a picture of my kids on day 2. The theme was "The Nativity" We read a story that..let's face it made me sob.. and reenacted the nativity scene, sang O' Holy Night, and made baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes with marshmallows.

Seriously, Rachel... you should sell these books! I love you!!
