On to Logan Utah!
We stayed with Nana who we love dearly and don't see nearly enough.

She made cookies with the Great Grandkids and told stories from when Grandpa was little. The kids ate it up!

And of course Auntie Lauren, Uncle Straton and Oaklen!!

(or in other words, Sawyers BFF)

These two boys got along so well. They held hands and had 2 year old chit chat back and forth the entire time.

Adorable.

Yet another part of our family that needs to be closer.

Blackfoot with the Weilands

We finally got to Blackfoot Idaho and jumped out of the car to the smiling faces of our Weiland cousins. We really do miss living close to Niki and Greg's family.

 We had a few days to spend with them so we packed in as much as we could.

We had movie nights, watched a whole lot of Downton Abby, made amazing treats, went to a fabulous water park in Pocatello, and then spent a day at the Lake.

It was so hard to say goodbye to them. We talked about it and we all think they need to MOVE TO OREGON!!

Idaho-2012

Our great big trip this summer was in August when we went to see Greg and Niki in Blackfoot and then went on to Utah to visit all of my family in Logan.

We left at 3am that first morning and drove straight to Boise Idaho.

 We stoped at a cool kids museum there to let the kids stretch their legs.

The big kids, even Scott, loved the bed of nails.

 

 

Sawyer's favorite part was carrying a dog brush around everywhere and brushing things.

South Beach

I am so behind in blogging.
We took a trip right when we got out of school to the Redding Water slides and Turtle Bay but I didn't get any pictures at all. Since then it has been go, go, go!  Now that Youth Conference and Girls Camp are over I am finally getting back on track.

Last Christmas I gave Scott a totally reserved and planned out family vacation in a Yurt on South Beach at the Oregon Coast. So last month he finally got to enjoy that present.

To be totally honest, I don't think I will ever want to tent camp again. Yurts are the only way to go!

Electricity, heat, beds, a deck and a door with a lock. (I brought a crock pot...best idea ever) WE all had a blast.

Chris and Kara joined us with their family and even Grandma and Grandpa Olsen and Aunt Kris and Relia came up.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights out at South Beach and the weather was the warmest I have ever seen on the Oregon Coast.

We went to the Science Center and the Aquarium and did some walking around down by the pier.

We got to see how they catch crabs and process shrimp and my kids thought that was so cool.

On the way home we hiked in to see this awesome waterfall.

We are so blessed to live so close to a such a beautiful coast.

Sawyer was our first kid to have to get stitches. :( 

 Seven to be exact.

He snuck into a cupboard while I was getting out of the shower and found a small glass candle. He then climbed up onto the arm of a chair, glass candle in hand, and 2 seconds later fell off of said chair arm onto the wood floor.

Glass everywhere!!

A mini panic attack later plus the help of our rockstar neighbor Cortney, we ended up in the ER for 2 hours.

Connor at 7

Today is Connor's 7th Birthday!

My first baby boy. Wow, I really had no idea what to do with a boy when we first had him.

I had had no experience with any boys. Neither Scott
or I had brothers at all and our world had been so girly up until Connor.

He has been nothing but awesome! We love this sweet boy so much.

Despite a girly mom and sisters, Connor is all boy.

No matter where we are or who we are with, at the end of the day Connor ends up getting the dirtiest.

If there is one small hidden puddle of mud...Connor will find it. And roll in it. And probably lick it.

He loves Leggo's, collecting trinkets from garage sales and Super Hero's (especially The Hulk).

He is still our best eater and never seems to get full. Connor loves seafood, any kind of meat and a lot of it, and will try almost everything. Last night for dinner Scott made him spring rolls (aka "Chinese burritos") and he downed 3 huge ones with room for more.

He has the best laugh ever and loves to learn. He is excited for 2nd grade next year and getting to play with his friends.

We are just smitten with this handsome boy in every way.
