wedding part 2

Damon and Allison are really fun people and they had some cool things at the reception that I loved. On the tables they had these wedding trivia cards! Such a cute idea! :

About half of the guests come from the East coast, so to get all the guests to mingle and get to know each other they had these:

This was one of mine, I had to find out who he was and then I could ask him to tell me a joke! So fun.

Damon is part Jewish and so they had a really cool ceremony involving large rings made of bread. They sang a beautiful prayer and then every guest was asked to tear a piece of the bread.

They also had a theater size popcorn machine for all the kids. But my favorite part was the band that they had. The lead singer gave salsa dancing lessons before all the dancing started! It was a lot of fun and I am so happy for the both of them!

This weekend we also went to Grants Pass to attend the wedding of our friends Damon and Allison. Wow, it was beautiful. The resort were they had it was just amazing! Little did we know, it is the resort that the Pratt's (who us to live in Klamath) manage! So that was a really fun surprise to get to see there family.

The wedding had an Ocean theme, and the bride and groom looked beautiful!! I really didn't get a good pic of the 2 of them together. :(

Thanks to Aunt Heather and Aunt Kris who watched our oldest 2, we got to take just Macie. She had some good one on one time with Scott and I.

busy memorial

There isn't anything better than being lazy with family and friends all weekend! My little sister Lauren surprised us last Tuesday and came out to visit. We have also been moving into the new house and playing with our cousins Max, Kira and Devin who came for the weekend.

My mom has some amazing talents. We are going to bear lake this summer for a week and my mom made these for all of the grand kids for the beach.

Sunny days

We can't get enough of this warm weather here. The other day I was talking to Scott inside and then 5 minutes later I couldn't find him. I looked all over in the house and ended up finding him out here...

Wii crazy..

It has become a before bed nightly routine, that each of my kids gets to take a turn on the wii fit. I think it is hilarious to watch Macie try to do the hula hoop.

Wish-I-would-a....

This weekend Scott and I went on a date with another couple and saw The Twelfth Night, a play put on at K.U. It was really cute and it made me wish I had been in Drama in high school. Or, I wish I would have been brave enough to try out for something at the Ross Ragland.

The couple we are renting our house out to are big theater people and just auditioned for parts in The Music Man playing this summer. And a girl in my Primary just got a part in the Music Man as well. I would love it if Ellie ever wanted to tryout for something like that.

I've seen many plays and musicals and have to say that if you are ever in St. George Utah you have to go see something at the Tuacahn Theater there. It's an outside theater set up in the beautiful red rock. An amazing experience!

2nd attempt

I gave the dress another go around and swapped the border fabric from the bottom to the top, also I put in some pleats and that seemed to help it fit much better.

He gets me with that smile

I love how creative and fun little boys are and Connor definitely makes me wanna pull my hair out sometimes. But, today at my breaking point he pulled me by the arm to see that "superman came to our house to help you do dishes and play the Wii with us mama!"

He made me smile.

For the birds

My sweet husband is a bit of a bird nerd, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Today he took all the kids and walked to Veterans Park for the migratory bird day festival. These are some of the fun things they got to do with daddy!

Macie Lou-hoo

I had enough for a skirt for Macie and I almost like it more than the dress!!

summer dress

I have had this fabric since last weekend and didn't know what to do with it so this morning I decided to make a funky summer dress for Ellie. Love it!! I would do it a little different next time, the arm holes are to big and I need to fix the ribbon, but this was my first attempt.

Anyway I love the way it turned out, and I have enough left over I might be able to make a skirt for Macie.

BIKINI ready.....

That would be a big...FAT..NO!!

At the beginning of Spring I always feel that this time I am gonna do it, this is the year, the year that I start running or exercising a lot to get ready for summer so I feel giggle-free when the swimsuit goes on. Yet, here I am again...procrastinating. Making up any excuse I can to sit on my heater with my kids, under a blanket...with a bag of chips.
