9 months
I am almost done!
I have less than 4 weeks and feeling pretty good, just stretched beyond my limit.
Some preggo facts:
*I am officially uncomfortable at night, I can not sleep a whole night through without waking up at least 4 times to flip or sit up or push a foot out of my rib cage.
*I have gained (brace yourself mom) about 34 lbs. AAAHHHH!
*I weigh more now than I have ever weighed in my entire life. :(
*I have crazy heartburn, tums are my best friend.
* I can't stop eating spinach leaves with poppy seed dressing. I could eat it for every meal.
*Still no name, but closer....."wink, wink"
*I love watching my belly take on several different shapes a minute. So do the kids.
*I am so excited to meet this little boy!!
Colorful Poo????
Yuck, nasty sounding title huh! But don't let it fool you.
Alas, it is not poo, but about 13 different colors of play dough, all smashed together. This play dough kept all of my kiddo's busy today as it was pouring rain/ snow ALL day outside.
We made snakes.
And sculptures of ourselves.
A huge thanks to you play dough makers, you kept this mama's sanity in check on such a blah day!

Random
My mom just sent me some old pictures that I thought were so old school and funny that I had to share...
so sit back and enjoy mine and my families personal embarrassment!
First up, Christmas picture about 1987-ish. Nothing about this picture is natural. From the sweet I love you so much I'm gonna sit on your back, like we do this every day pose....to the "amazing" backdrop.
On to the next, this is one of the day my dad got off the plane from his Mission. So young. I might see a little tiny bit of Connor in that picture. And a little bit of Farrah Fawcett too.Another mission picture. You see a skinny little white boy sweating from the heat of the Peruvian sun. I see the start of an ongoing soda pop addiction. Just saying dad!Oh I am brave. Why do I do these things to myself. This is the reason all of my kids have uni-brows.I would never want to leave out little Lauren...
or Julie. My mother would like for me to point out that she made those dresses. Mad 80's sewing skills!
2 going on 16
Macie has had a rough week.
This poor girl is using up all of her last few months of being 2 and cramming in as many terrible 2 tantrums as she can. So fun, I know!
After a major meltdown the last weekend, I sat her in her room and put a book on cd (Charlotte's Web) into her cd player.
I got to folding clothes on the floor next to her and within 10 minutes I look up to find her like this:
One good thing about these fits is that they are usually followed by a great nap!!
little reader
Last week Ellie, and nine other kids from various schools, were chosen to be in a performance to honor the volunteers for a reading program she is in. Ellie has always been a quick learner in reading and at her parent teacher conference last week we were told she is reading at a high 2nd grade reading level. We are very proud of her and her determination to get good grades and really work hard on her homework.
The night was Western themed so she cowgirled up and preformed her parts really well. She was also excited because she got to do it with one of her best friends Ruby and she was in the newspaper.

he slays me
This boy!!
I can't get enough, he is such a mama's boy. He has always been. My favorite thing lately is when he gets tucked into bed at night, I am the only one he will let kiss him. He will wipe everyone elses kisses off except mine. And then, every night without fail, as I am leaving his room I will say "what are you going to dream about Connor?", and he always answers..." Just you Mama."

oops
So the other day I was catching up on spring break laundry and pulled out a sweater that I didn't recognize. It was small and blue but a little to big for Connor. I held it up and stared at it for a few seconds and then it hit me.
Could I really have done it, does that really actually happen?
Right about then my laughing caught Scott off guard and he asked. "What happened to my sweater?"
Yep, I shrunk his super nice church sweater. Now, I don't consider myself an amazing laundress by any means but I have never even turned anything pink, let alone shrunk something.
It was literally 4 times smaller than it was before. 100% wool. Oops.
What do you think.... with a little streching....he might be able to still pull it off, huh?
