SO cute!! You better do it!!
P.S. She is staying so still because she is scared out of her mind. Notice the pulled back ears and bulging eyes. Don't worry though. She will adjust and love her new family in no time. =)
DO IT!!!
Harley needs an EC!!

Don't do it!!! You already have enough bottoms to wipe and poop to clean up. That is my opinion for myself at least :).

we have gone thre 4 dogs not because they all were bad, the first one died, the second one was just a bad dog, the 3rd one we loved and he was soo small and got taken by a bird we believe and then we are now on our 4th dog which is a Golden Retriever (puppy) lets just say if i had a kid i totally wouldn't have ever gotten a dog. good luck! Hope you have rented your house!

I don't know if you want a puppy right before you move...or rent your home out....
We got a puppy for 3 days and It was sooo cute....I was baby hungry at the time...but Alex and I ended up being allergic, so we took her back to the parking lot at Walmart till someone took her home....she was sweet and cuddly....but then I got baby Jack instead.
Now that I am baby hungry again I think about a dog again....but maybe a baby would be easier :)

NOOOOOOO! There is no such thing as a free puppy!
Before I totally rain on your parade, how old is she? Is she potty trained? is she a hyper breed? how big will she get? If you are up for the ride, (about a year, maybe more) of having to "deal" with a dog go for it, otherwise, run away FAST!

These are my pro's and con's:

*Pro's- Well we all know the pro for your kids to experiance a dog and learn to love it, and help with it so that is a big one, also they are willing to hold on to her for one more month till we get into the new house with a fenced yard.

*Con's- I am not an indoor animal person so this would be an outside dog and I don't even know if this kind of dog can be an outside dog in the winter cause it is a little dog (half pichanese and half dotson) Also, we have a really buzy summer and will be gone for a week or 2 here and there.
Last I havn't had a dog since I was 7 and kinda forget how to take care of one. Shots, how much they eat, scooping poop, will it chew up everything???

All in all it is the sadness in Scott's face when he says, "We don't have to get her if you don't want to." I think he would be more upset than my kids!

Me and Craig fought for a week over getting a dog and I won. Basically you will have to take care of it. So yes, if you want another child to care for or no if you don't think you can handle it! If it was me, I would say no!

so very cute. i have no advice. except dogs are hard to handle. but if you do get and need someone to watch it over the summer, i know people that wouldn't mind. :)

well, that's 5 against, and 1 for the dog, and one that just laughs at you. I would have to agree with the "no" group. They are SO much work and they POOP! Goldfish are nice though :)

Jaime, your not adopting twins, or buying an ape. It's a small, innocent dog. Yes you will have much to learn, and lots of adjusting, but if your willing, it's worth it.
With small children you will have to watch them at all times to make sure they don't squish her for a few months, but just like a new brother or sister, they will learn to be careful.
Watch it for a week very carefully and if it doesn't work, then give her away. You have nothing to lose.
But the dog is too small to be outside in the winter. It should be an inside dog.
If your still unsure, watch Marley and Me. That should def. help you make a decision.
Don't let others make you think dogs are just big poopy messes who chew things up. They don't know the reward of loving dogs. And if you teach them right, they won't do that! AMEN! ;)

Who the heck is two cents?

Remember that one time how I gave into the sadness on Jeremys face and got an ugly rat...I mean guinea pig?? And you laughed at me?
And then remember that one time, two weeks later when we told the kids he was going to visit a friend and we dropped him off at Petco?

I say every kid needs a dog to love! You will fall in love with it Jaime and it will become an inside dog! It's little and the poops will be little...LOL!!!! You can't take it away from them NOW!!!! Just train him or her to stay outside while you are gone. I'm voting YES!!!!!!!! Love you!

Although!!!!!!!! Vet bills can be very expensive, so you need to think about that! They do get sick! Okay, now I'm done. Auntie, Patty

Penny's been a good experience for us, but we were ready to commit to the "accidents" and be patient with the training. It doesn't happen overnight, but if your able to be consistent and work on it puppies can be amazing. I was not a dog or animal person, and someday's I'm still not. But I do love my little puppy, and she always loves us. That dog will need to be an inside dog, but it's small, so it doesn't take up much space. And as much as Scott loves that puppy, it will be your dog. It will love you more than anyone else, and you will spend the most time with it, so you need to be the one to make the decision. Good luck!
