To enduce or not to enduce....

Prepair yourself..... It's a long one...
My due date is June 2nd (Ellie's birthday). I am kinda weird and don't want 2 kiddo's birthday's on the same day, and Ellie has made it clear that she does not either. So my solution was to just be enduced a week early...end of May on a Wednesday. Made the appointment..done and done!!
Then I realise that Scott has the huge State track meet and would have to leave at the end of May on that Thursday (the day after I'm enduced) AHHHHH!
I have been enduced for my last 2 babies and usually deliver within 6-8 hours. And truly I am super lucky because I have my mom here in town to help me so the idea of having the baby Wednesday and having Scott stay the night at the hospital with me and then leaving the next day for 3 days wasn't all that terrible because he would be there for the birth and then my mom can come stay with me.
But he is trying so hard to talk me out of it and just wait till he comes home. Closer to Ellie's birthday.
So, do I go ahead with the planed baby day, making sure he will be there. Or wait and chance it and hope I don't go into labor while he is gone and he won't make it back in time to be there when the baby is born. (And all in all end up missing the track meet anyway)
What would you do????
*can you tell which way I am leaning? just a little?

It's interesting that you're treating the birth of your child like a business meeting.

So asking advice from others on what they would do is now a buisness meeting?
wow, grow a pair anonymous..if your gonna leave such a rude comment leave your name so I can address you directly.

Wow...whomever "anonymous" is, has obviously never had a child. The fact that doctors can induce labor in this day and age is fabulous. Why run around and panic about dropping your kids off at someones home and then rush to the hospital in pain when you go into labor or your water breaks, when now days you can get to the hospital knowing that things are taken care of at home and be more relaxed for the delivery of your special new addition. If your doctor will let you pick the date of your delivery so it is easier on you and your family...why wouldn't you!?!?!

I am all about letting babies come on their own when they want to, but I totally understand how you are stressed. I was really worried when Chris had a wedding in Portland less than a week from my due date with Gabe, but luckily the baby didn't come early. Whatever you decide, I will be praying that the baby doesn't come during the track meet when Scott is gone!!

Oh, and another solution.... does Scott have to go to the track meet? Even if he doesn't have a kid make it to state?? Maybe he could just skip out on it?

Jaime: whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be the right decision. Is Scott any closer to letting you choose the name you want?

I agree with scott missing the track meet. The baby is more important. I'm sure they'd let him miss it. Besides, I need to be here!

I'm all for June 2. The more children born that day the better.

I like having traditions, you know my girls/holiday weirdness, SOOOO you should have all your babies in June, schedule your enduction June 1 or if you can bear it just wait till baby shows up, maybe late. AND Scott should miss the meet, those newborns disappear SUPER fast, does he really want to miss three whole days of it?? . . .on his last one???

I say you make a spinner with all your options on it and for FHE "play" a game and let the "spinner" decide!

Go for May...this is your 4th baby and by May you are going to be soooo sick of being pregnant!!! and if Scott isn't competing in this track meet...make him stay home!!! (unless he lets you name the baby)

I agree with anonymous. I mean, you might as well start smoking or drinking while pregnant. It would be so much better than choosing to go a couple days before your due date. Oh my. I just couldn't bear the thought! How will we ever survive?!?!
