Our first vacation stop was in Redding California at Turtle Bay. Excellent place to stop midway to Sacramento for the kids. There was so much to see and do. The only real drawback is that half if it is outdoors and the day we went it was 116. Yikes!
This was by far the kids favorite exhibit. The bird house.
At one point Scott had 5 of these birds on his back and arm. We were feeding them seed sticks.
This is Ellie in the Butterfly House. All the kids got to pick a newborn butterfly, name it, and then release it into the butterfly habitat house.
We learned about frogs, owls and trees and got to see some BIG snakes and spiders. (Mom's favorite part...for sure!)
